Induction Kit Myths

Induction Kit is one of the most popular modifications for car tuning projects. Induction Kit is nothing but simply an air filter. Cars already have air filters mounted in an air-box.

Induction Kits add Power to Turbo Engines?
The answer is WRONG! - There are many believers out there that Induction Kits do add power. The fact is Induction kits do not always add power to forced induction engines. Despite the claims made by the manufacturers of induction kits, very few cars actually see a benefit from adding them.

So, if you are looking for more power then there are lots of better things to spend your money on. The reason is that the Induction Kit sucks in hot air from the engine bay which carries less oxygen and therefore reduces power. Standard air filter boxes are more than sufficient for your EP6-DT engines.

If you want to improve the airflow then it is better to replace the stock air-filter with a high flow panel air filter similar ti K&N 33-2936 instead...

... but the benefits will only be appreciated at the top end of the rev range. Only if you want others to hear the induction roar noise out of your car bonnet and makes you feel good then the induction kits are for you!. Otherwise do not waste your money.
